Negotino (native: Неготино) is situated
in the middle part by the river Vardar and takes a significant
part of Tikvesh valley. In fact, the territory is situated on
both sides of the Vardar. The left part takes the discret of
Kirvolak and goes up to the top of the Serta mountain. The right
part takes wider space on the alluvail valley of the Vardar
and in the southern part gradually grows into hills. The main
axes is in fact north-south.
The 2005 population estimate of 14,016 for Negotino and is 150
meters above sea level, and the surface of the area is 25 square
kilometers.
The highway M-1 leads through this city, and also leads railway
connection Skopje-Gevgelija-Greece. In Negotino is one of the
best wine production companies in Macedonia. |
