Kicevo (native: Кичево) is located in the western part of the
Republic of Macedonia, settled in the valley of Kicevo, which
illustrates a clearly shaped natural area, surrounded on all
sides with tall mountains and forests.
Kicevo belongs to the upper section of the Treska river, on
its north side it reaches the location Straza, on its west side
rises the mountain Bistra, on its south side through the valley
of the river Treska extends to the Ilinska iountain, and on
its eastern side it extands to the northern part of Porecje.
According to a census in the year 2002 the city of Kicevo has
a population of 30,138, with a significant increase by 9.42%
from the last census in 1994. The population density is 615.1
per square kilometer. |
